Abstract

The article is based on a brief reference to the historical hindrance and analysis of the current context of vocational training in Spain to propose a series of structural improvements that allow a seamless transfer of the apprenticeship training model according to the educational, social and economic objectives of our training system. The proposed strategies are related to: 1) national governance and involvement of social partners, 2) participation of small and medium-sized enterprises, 3) information and career guidance, 4) guarantees of quality and innovation which are supported technically and financially by the different administrations responsible for their development as suggested by the ET2020 Work Group on education and vocational training promoted by the European Commission.
