Abstract

Through the implementation of synthetic indexes of sustainability, this paper analyses the existing relationships among the results obtained for the economic, social, environmental, and institutional dimensions. These results show the existence of links and hierarchies, allowing to identify the progress in the policies of sustainable development. This analysis is essential to highlight the levels of partial or total compliance, and it is also a process which guarantees the articulation and responsibility of each principle and value included in the Declaration on Sustainable Development.
