Abstract

The aim of this article is to analyze the way domestic labour has been dealt with, and its valuation in the specific context of economic science. The first part carries a review of the relationship between economics, in the more conventional sense, and domestic labour. The second part, more quantitative, deals with the problems of measurement in the domestic sector and the different methodology used in the evaluation process; finishing with a case related to the Basque Country.
