Tests of an ad hoc algorithm of elastic- demand equilibrium traffic assignment

Abstract

A simplication is introduced into an algorithm for elastic-demand equilibrium traffic assignment previously developed by Evans. The modified algorithm is provided without proof. It is demonstrated on test networks that the modified algorithm converges to the same solution as Evans' original algorithm and does so with substantially less computation.
