La Eficiencia De La Rama De Ciencias Sociales De Las Universidades Públicas Españolas

Abstract

A diferencia de otros, que analizan la eficiencia de las universidades como entes globales o sus departamentos sin considerar la heterogeneidad de los recursos empleados, este trabajo estudia la eficiencia de las universidades públicas españolas en la rama de conocimiento de Ciencias Sociales, utilizando para ello un método de frontera no paramétrico, el Análisis Envolvente de Datos. Los resultados obtenidos no sólo muestran las estimaciones de eficiencia, sino también las mejoras que deberían hacer las universidades ineficientes para lograr optimizar su comportamiento.
