Abstract

Additional private pension, complex financial products and low interest rates - consumers have to rise to the challenge of focusing more on financial issues. The concept of the Sparkassen-Finanzgruppe in the area of financial education will be presented. The holistic, structural approach includes both school and nonschool education. It aims to provide access to financial knowledge for students and to assist consumers with the competent handling of money and financial services. A wide range of educational and advisory services is available, free of charge and free of advertising, for individuals and also for non-profit social institutions.
