Responsabilidad social y estrategia organizacional en grandes empresas industriales de la ciudad de Cartagena de Indias, Colombia

Abstract

En el presente trabajo se analizan los cambios acaecidos en la estrategia organizacional en grandes empre-sas industriales ubicadas en la ciudad de Cartagena de Indias, específicamente en los sectores petroquímico-plástico, a partir de la adopción de prácticas socialmente responsables, para determinar las repercusiones de dichas prácticas en la generación de ventajas competitivas en las organizaciones. En la actualidad se plantea que la RSE es una concepción que debe imperar en la estrategia organizacional de las empresas y que dichas prácticas constituyen ventajas competitivas para aquellas organizaciones que las aplican, quedando claro que un gran número de industrias analizadas implementan RSE en función de los rendimientos económicos que esperan obtener. Metodológicamente, la investigación es de naturaleza descriptiva, combinando la exploración bibliográfica con el trabajo de campo.
