Relación entre la política macroeconómica y la producción agropecuaria

Abstract

“En este trabajo se presenta un modelo analítico y empírico para estudiar los determinantes de la oferta y demanda del sector agrícola colombiano, haciendo énfasis en los de tipo macroeconómico. Los planteamientos del trabajo se hacen a la luz de las discusiones más recientes planteadas sobre el tema de las interrelaciones entre la política macroeconómica y el sector agrícola. El estudio está dividido en cuatro secciones. En la primera se hace una revisión de la bibliografía sobre el tema de las interrelaciones entre la política macroeconómica y el desempeno del sector agropecuario, describiéndose los diferentes planteamientos teóricos sobre los canales a través de los cuales se dan las influencias de las diversas políticas macroeconómicas sobre la producción agropecuaria. Se presenta, un modelo estructural a través del cual se relacionan diferentes variables de política macroeconómica con la producción agrícola. En la segunda sección se hace un análisis descriptivo de las principales variables del sector agrícola,. Este análisis pretende establecer las relaciones más evidentes entre las principales variables macroeconómicas y el desempeno del sector agrícola. En la sección III se presentan los resultados de las estimaciones de las funciones de oferta y de demanda de los grupos de productos en que se ha dividido el sector agrícola. En esta sección se verá en detalle cuáles son los determinantes de cada una de estas variables, sus elasticidades, etc., y se hace también una evaluación del modelo estimado al resolverse simultáneamente las ecuaciones planteadas.”
