Las instituciones del Estado y los grandes conglomerados industriales como determinantes del cambio estructural en Corea del Sur y Colombia

Abstract

Este escrito estudia las condiciones suficientes y/o necesarias para implicar el cambio estructural. En él se compara el proceso de industrialización de Corea del Sur con el de Colombia. Se analizan dos períodos: 1960-1990 y 1991-2007, antes y después de la apertura en ambos países. Se afirma que las economías de Corea del Sur y de Colombia, continuaron siendo variedades de crony capitalism, incluso después de que ambos países abrazaran las reformas liberacionistas. La calidad de las instituciones de embedded autonomy del Estado junto con las instituciones de corporate governance, explican el cambio estructural.
