Cambio estructural: trayectoria y vigencia de un concepto

Abstract

El presente documento analiza como la participación sectorial en el conjuntode la economía va cambiando en la medida en que aumenta el ingreso, enrazón a que la demanda, por las diferentes clases de bienes, crece a tasastambién distintas, de acuerdo con sus respectivas elasticidades-ingreso.Finalmente se puede concluir que los recursos se van transfiriendo hacia lossectores cuyas demandas crecen más rápidamente. En este sentido, la mayortransformación generalmente se ha producido desde la agricultura haciala industria y de esta a los servicios. El proceso de crecimiento económico noes simplemente hacer más de lo mismo, puesto que implica un cambioestructural en casi todos los aspectos de la oferta y el consumo.
