Evolución de las Exportaciones del Valle del Cauca Hacia Estados Unidos: 1980-2005

Abstract

Este trabajo analiza la evolución de las exportaciones del Valle del Cauca a Estados Unidos en el periodo 1980-2005, con el objeto de conocer los efectos de las preferencias arancelarias que le fueron otorgadas a Colombia, Atpa en1992 y Atpdea en el 2002. El análisis revela que las exportaciones totalesdel Valle del Cauca hacia Estados Unidos en los últimos cinco anos se hanincrementado, obteniéndose los mejores resultados para: perlas, piedras y metales preciosos, específicamente el oro; aluminio y sus manufacturas de aluminio, fundición de hierro y acero; manufacturas de cuero, artículos de viaje y bolsos; preparaciones alimenticias diversas, preparaciones a base de cereal, leche y pastelería; aparatos eléctricos y de grabar imagen; productosfarmacéuticos; artículos de sombrerería y sus partes; muebles; azúcares, artículos y confitería; papel, cartón y sus manufacturas.
