Abstract

RESUMEN Este artículo busca ilustrar e interpretar los aspectos principales que sobre desarrollo económico, condiciones sociales y perspectivas de integración tiene América Latina y el Caribe. Explora además las relaciones principales entre las economías de esta región y Estados Unidos, y muestra tanto en términos metodológicos como respecto a datos, si se está o no formando un bloque entres esas regiones. También se indica de manera resumida, las condiciones actuales y de perspectiva en relación a la presencia de China en el escenario internacional, y en cómo esa presencia afecta a los países latinoamericanos.
