Nivel de inglés de los graduados de programas de Contaduría en Colombia: muy lejos de la meta

Abstract

En este documento se busca determinar si los graduados de los programas de Contaduría Pública en Colombia cumplieron con la meta de bilinguismo propuesta por el Gobierno para 2014. Se analizaron los resultados del módulo de inglés de la prueba Saber Pro, 2011-2015, a partir de una aproximación descriptiva y estadística (pruebas de proporciones paramétricas y no paramétricas). Se encontró que solo 5 de los 118 programas cumplieron estadísticamente con la meta. De acuerdo con lo anterior, se evidencia que los estudiantes universitarios de Contaduría Pública se están graduando con bajos niveles de inglés en comprensión lectora, único componente evaluado por la prueba Saber Pro. Esta no evalúa compresión auditiva, expresión oral ni escritura.
