Abstract

En este trabajo se estudian las ideas que presentó Albert O. Hirschman en sus diferentes ensayos y libros sobre el tema de los desequilibrios económicos regionales. Como es un pensador que ha estado dispuesto siempre a traspasar las barreras disciplinarias, sus aportes en este campo tuvieron en cuenta aspectos económicos, políticos, antropológicos e históricos. Por esta razón, las discusiones del presente ensayo sobre el problema de los rezagos regionales las hemos dividido según las disciplinas mencionadas. Al final, se presentan unas conclusiones acerca de los aportes de Hirschman al problema de los desequilibrios regionales y su relación con los trabajos recientes que son pertinentes
