From Working Paper to Journal Article – A Publication Analysis in Economics

Abstract

Out of about 28,000 working papers from four renowned working paper series, 66.5 percent were published in a professional journal, while about 8 percent were published as book chapters. For the remaining 25 percent, there was no information on their whereabouts.
