Abstract

The results of Ifo surveys, conducted in the framework of a research project for the German Federal Environmental Agency, show that the German environmental sector staged a strong recovery after the crisis year of 2009. The number of staff employed by medium-sized companies in this branch increased slightly in the years 2010 and 2011 and turnover rose significantly.
