Ostdeutschland im globalen Wettbewerb: Zuwanderung tut not

Abstract

Ostdeutschland steht vor einem gewaltigen Mangel an Arbeitskräften, was sich auch auf die wirtschaftliche Entwicklung negativ auswirken wird. Notwendig ist es daher, in weit stärkerem Umfang als in der Vergangenheit qualifizierte Zuwanderer aus dem Ausland zu gewinnen. Das geplante Fachkräfteeinwanderungsgesetz schafft hierfür die rechtlichen Voraussetzungen. Notwendig ist es, die mit dieser Liberalisierung verbundenen Spielräume jetzt für eine gezielte Anwerbung von Arbeitskräften insbesondere aus Nicht-EU-Staaten zu nutzen.
