Binnenwanderungssalden der sächsischen Landkreise

Abstract

Individuen und Haushalte verlagern ihren Lebensmittelpunkt neben sozialen Komponenten vor allem aufgrund ökonomischer Überlegungen. Ostdeutschland sieht sich seit Jahren einer kontinuierlichen, oft wirtschaftlich induzierten, Abwanderung gen Westen gegenüber. Am Beispiel Sachsens wird gezeigt, welchen Herausforderungen die Wanderung auf Ebene der Landkreise mit sich bringt. In 2008 wiesen lediglich Chemnitz, Dresden und Leipzig positive Wanderungssalden gegenüber den übrigen Bundesländern auf. Dabei wirken die sächsischen Ballungsräume sowohl auf junge, als auch auf alte Personen anziehend. Bei der erwerbstätigen Bevölkerung verzeichnet lediglich Leipzig einen positiven Saldo. Den Flächenlandkreisen ist gemein, dass dort vor allem junge Menschen und Personen im erwerbsfähigen Alter abwandern, was die Herausforderungen des demographischen Wandels dort noch weiter verstärkt.
