Selbstständigkeit und demographischer Wandel

Abstract

Die Bevölkerungsentwicklung in Deutschland ist durch niedrige Geburtenraten und sinkende Sterblichkeit gekennzeichnet. Bereits seit langem ist bekannt, dass diese Entwicklungen die Bevölkerungsstruktur verändern werden. In Zukunft wird es immer weniger Menschen in Deutschland geben, die im Durchschnitt zudem deutlich älter sein werden als heute. Im vorliegenden Beitrag wird analysiert, wie sich diese demographischen Veränderungen auf das Potenzial an selbstständigen Personen mit Beschäftigten auswirken können. Dafür wird die angebotsseitige Entwicklung der Selbstständigkeit in Deutschland bis zum Jahr 2050 abgeschätzt.
