The Role Of Entrepreneurship In Stimulating Economic Growth. A View From The Top

Abstract

The present paper aims at illustrating the role of entrepreneurship in generating economic growth. The first part consists in a view from the top regarding the theoretical framework for the concept of “entrepreneurship”, “entrepreneur” and highlights, also, the main difficulties and opportunities faced by an entrepreneur when starting a business. The second part presents a brief overview of the key indicators regarding entrepreneurship, mentioning the main scores achieved by Romania in case of each of them. We also made a correlation between the new business ownership rate and the GDP of Romania, study which take into consideration a period of ten years and tries to highlight the impact of the above mentioned scores upon the economic growth of our country.
