The role and the importance of the logistics platform in the intern and international transport

Abstract

The logistics of the company is a challenge and in the same time a necessity for its introduction the management activity, which in our opinion means more than the simple supply with merchandise of the means due to the fact that the manager of the company ,that has logistics problems, must know very well which are the existent internal and external infrastructures and that are organized in logistic platforms that will be introduced in the company strategy, for the saving of the resources and the surface sizing storage. The aim of this paper is to highlight the fact that the creation of an effective logistics system by a company lead to the decrease of the negative effects of the merchandise transportation and also the creation of the conditions for a sustainable development. This is projected so that it allows the usage of an informational system that enables the application of some effective programs for optimal routing of the means of transportation for the accomplishment of the proposed objectives, meaning the transportation of the merchandise to the beneficiary at the established deadlines and in quality conditions. The insurance of the transportation of the merchandise to the clients in safety and quality conditions requires that the logistics manager of the company assures logistics platforms as effective solutions for the saving of the resources; these represent objectives of the logistic system that realizes shipment operations of the merchandise stored, packed, sorted and grouped with the view of shipping them to the beneficiaries (clients).
