Abstract

The objective of this study is to evaluate the mechanisms for fighting cybercrime and protecting personal data in the African continent. This diagnosis is conducted in six (6) States, namely South Africa, Cameroon, Egypt, Kenya, Nigeria and Rwanda. Indeed, in most of the above-mentioned countries, the mechanisms implemented to carry out the fight in the two main areas we have mentioned are certainly almost effective, but still remain perfectible in several respects. The heuristic value of our analysis is undeniable. Indeed, it allows us to evaluate the degree of integration of these African countries into the digital world in the context of commercial transactions. It emerges from this reflection that the textual framework, devoted to the electronic commerce of the six countries in question, sometimes raises many questions.
