Abstract

The article deals with the problems of the European identity and its formation. The internal contradictions and heterogeneity of the European identity are analyzed, and also opportunities for further formation of the common European space in the context of process of the European integration of Ukraine are estimated. The article notes the need of building the European values in Ukraine on its path of democratization.
