Abstract

The study on the essence and peculiarities the current of state management а occupational safety and health is focused on the analysis of the occupational safety and health system in Ukraine and the importance of its effective management at various levels. According to Ukrainian legislation, labor protection is defined as a set of measures and legal norms aimed at preserving the life, health and working capacity of people during their work. Occupational health and safety management includes coordination of actions to ensure safe working conditions and health of employees through government agencies, employers and employees themselves. The State Labor Service of Ukraine plays a key role in overseeing compliance with occupational safety standards and developing programs to improve working conditions. Occupational health and safety management includes two levels - the state and the enterprise level. The state and employers are obliged to provide safe working conditions and individual protection for employees, taking into account their physical and gender characteristics. Employers must establish occupational health and safety services and monitor compliance with safety standards. The article proves the need for reforms to create a new management system for preventing occupational risks and injuries to employees to preserve the lives and health of workers - the occupational health and safety management system. The implementation of occupational safety and health measures provided for by the current legislation of Ukraine, which is of particular strategic importance for the economy and security of the State, is noted and analyzed. The process of implementing occupational health and safety is important for ensuring employee safety, including the development of occupational health and safety policies, risk assessment and implementation of risk mitigation measures. However, martial law may lead to a weakening of control over occupational safety and health at enterprises, and this requires changes in legislation and occupational safety management to ensure the safety of employees in these conditions.
