Brexit: situación y consecuencias económicas

Abstract

La salida efectiva del Reino Unido de la Unión Europea (UE) abre un nuevo período en las relaciones entre ambas áreas. La crisis sanitaria actual limita el margen de maniobra de las políticas económicas para acomodar los costes de transición a una nueva relación económica, cualquiera que sea su forma definitiva. En este artículo se describen los desarrollos más recientes en el proceso de negociación y se dibujan tres posibles escenarios para la futura relación comercial entre el Reino Unido y la UE, con simulaciones del potencial impacto macroeconómico de cada uno de ellos. Asimismo, en un recuadro se expone la evolución reciente de las relaciones comerciales y financieras entre el Reino Unido y España.
