Mikrokrediler ve Kadınların İşgücüne Katılımına Etkisi

Abstract

Kadınların işgücüne katılımlarını sağlamaya yönelik son yıllarda giderek yükselen bir yaklaşım olan mikrokrediler, başlangıçta yoksullar ve kırsal kesimde yaşayan kadınlara destek olma amacına hizmet eden bir düşünce iken zaman içerisinde, kadınların kendi işlerini kurarak ekonomiye katkı sağlamalarının yolunu açmıştır. Öyle ki pek çok kadın, mikrokredi uygulaması sayesinde uygun bütçelerle teminatsız kredileri kullanarak işgücü içerisinde aktif olarak yer almaya başlamıştır. Bu çalışmada mikrokredilerin kadınların işgücüne katılımları üzerindeki etkisinin belirlenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Çalışmada, Ocak 2014- Kasım 2020 dönemine ait aylık veriler kullanılarak, kadınların işgücüne katılım oranı, mikro işletmelere kullandırılan toplam nakdi kredi miktarı ve sanayi üretim endeksi değişkenlerine ekonometrik analiz uygulanmıştır. Değişkenler arasındaki ilişkiyi incelemek için uygulanan Gregory-Hansen yapısal kırılmalı eş bütünleşme testinin sonuçlarında hem kredi kullanım miktarındaki artışın hem de ekonomik büyümenin kadınların işgücüne katılım oranını arttırdığı görülmektedir. Sonuç olarak, Türkiye’de mikro özellikteki işletmelerin mikrokredilerle desteklenmesinin, kredilerden yararlanma olanaklarının kolaylaşması ve kadın işgücüne katkı sağlayan kredi uygulamalarının kadınların işgücüne katılımlarını daha fazla arttıracağı söylenebilir.
