La industria editorial española: dos décadas clave de transformación y cambio (1996-2016)

Abstract

El propósito de esta investigación es analizar las principales transformaciones que han tenido lugar durante el periodo 1996-2016 en la industria editorial española como consecuencia del cambio tecnológico y su adaptación al nuevo contexto digital. Para ello se analiza, en primer lugar, su relevancia como sector a través del estudio de tres variables clave: su aportación al PIB, su contribución al empleo y su capacidad exportadora; en segundo lugar, se estudian los cambio estructurales del sector durante las dos décadas consideradas y, en tercer lugar, se tratan en detalle los principales cambios cualitativos (libro electrónico e impresión bajo demanda), con una especial referencia a los principales modelos de negocios surgidos al calor de la disrupción tecnológica. Finalmente, se cierra el estudio con unas conclusiones y limitaciones del mismo. KEY Classification-JEL: N64; N74; O31; O32; O33
