Abstract

Dans ce travail de recherche, nous utilisons une méthode qui nous permet d'obtenir des indicateurs qualitatifs du capital humain (IQCH) pour 105 pays, pour trois domaines de compétence (mathématiques, sciences, lecture) et s'étalant de 1964 à 2005. Cette méthode repose sur la possibibilité d'un re-calibrage des résultats d'une enquête par rapport à une autre en ancrant les résultats sur les pays qui ont participé à au moins deux enquêtes différentes. Par ailleurs, nous actualisons la base de données issue de Barro et Lee (1996) concernant des indicateurs macro-économiques relatifs à l'éducation. Nous obtenons une base de données entre 1960 et 2002.
