"... und warum studierst du dann nicht?": Bundesländerspezifische Unterschiede des Studienaufnahmeverhaltens von Studienberechtigten in Deutschland

Abstract

[Einleitung ...] Die Studie ist folgendermaßen aufgebaut: In einem ersten Schritt stellen wir mit Hilfe der amtlichen Statistik ausgewählte deskriptive Befunde zum Übergang ins Studium dar (Kapitel 2). Dadurch können bereits einige bundesländerspezifische Besonderheiten herausgearbeitet werden, die die Fragestellung dieser Studie präzisieren. Danach geben wir in Kapitel 3 einen Überblick über den aktuellen Forschungsstand, beschreiben Forschungslücken und stellen Hypothesen auf. Anschließend untersuchen wir diese Hypothesen empirisch anhand der Studienberechtigtenpanel des Hochschulinformationssystems (HIS) der Jahre 1999, 2002, 2004, 2005 und 2008. Im Schlussteil werden die Ergebnisse der Analysen zusammengefasst, ihre (theoretischen und politischen) Implikationen diskutiert und schließlich einige Empfehlungen formuliert, wie die Übergangs- bzw. Studienanfängerquoten erhöht werden können.
