Geistige Eigentumsrechte an genetischen Ressourcen: weder ökologisch noch sozial gerecht

Abstract

Biologische Vielfalt und Saatgut sind seit einigen Jahren umkämpfte Ressourcen; geistige Eigentumsrechte wie Patente oder Sortenschutzrechte sind Instrumente, mit denen versucht wird, die Vielfalt Inwertzusetzen. Doch dies ist weder ökologisch sinnvoll noch sozial gerecht. In dem Paper werden die Folgen geistiger Eigentumsrechte an genetischen Ressourcen aufgezeigt und die Dichotomie zwischen Gesellschaft und Natur überwunden. Anhand der Konzepte der ökologischen Gerechtigkeit sowie des Environmental Justice Movement werden Möglichkeiten aufgezeigt, den Umgang mit genetischen Ressourcen gestalten zu können.
