Abstract

Die Beiträge der Studie stellen ein Gutachten zu den politischen und wirtschaftlichen Beziehungen zwischen dem Bundesland Nordrhein-Westfalen (NRW) und den asiatischen Ländern VR China, Japan und Vietnam dar. Das Gutachten wurde im Sommer 2000 für die Staatskanzlei NRW von Studierenden der Gerhard-Mercator-Universität Duisburg erstellt und behandelt fünf Themen: · Direktkontakte NRW und VR China: Bilaterale Entwicklungszusammenarbeit. · Direktkontakte NRW und VR China: Städtepartnerschaften: Rahmenbedingungen und künftige Gestaltung. · Direktkontakt Nordrhein-Westfalen - Vietnam. · Japan und NRW: Wirtschaftsbeziehungen und gezielte, bilaterale Entwicklungszusammenarbeit: möglich oder illusorisch? · Regionalkooperationen zwischen NRW und Japan und ihre Bedeutung für kleine und mittlere Unternehmen (KMU). Die Lösungsvorschläge für Probleme der politischen Praxis stellen potenzielle Diskussionsgrundlagen für politische Entscheidungsträger in NRW dar.
