Globale Ziele für nachhaltige Entwicklung: Bei den Vereinten Nationen beginnen die Verhandlungen

Abstract

2015 sollen die Millenniums-Entwicklungsziele erreicht sein; einige sind es bereits, andere sind fristgemäß kaum mehr zu verwirklichen. Nun hat der »Post-2015-Prozess« begonnen – die Debatte um die Frage, was nach 2015 geschehen soll. Ende September hat das Hochrangige Beratergremium für die Zukunft der globalen Entwicklungsziele seine Arbeit aufgenommen. In Kürze wird die VN-Generalversammlung zudem eine zwischenstaatliche Arbeitsgruppe einrichten, die einen Katalog von »Sustainable Development Goals« erarbeiten soll. Damit überwunden geglaubte Zielkonflikte zwischen Umwelt und Entwicklung nicht wieder aufbrechen, sollten beide Prozesse mittelfristig zusammengeführt werden, so dass ein Katalog globaler Ziele für nach-haltige Entwicklung für und von allen Staaten verhandelt werden kann. Was ist da-für wichtig, und wie sollte der Prozess institutionell flankiert werden?
