Krise in der Ukraine: Kaum Reaktionen in Asien. Nationale Interessen gegenüber Russland haben Vorrang für China, Indien und Japan

Abstract

Die russische Machtdemonstration gegenüber der Ukraine hat die europäische Landkarte politisch nachhaltig verändert. Doch anders als in den westlichen Staaten hat die Annexion der Krim kaum Reaktionen unter den asiatischen Großmächten China, Indien und Japan hervorgerufen. Territorialkonflikte und militärische Drohgebärden gehören zum sicherheitspolitischen Alltag der Region. Deshalb erstaunt es nicht, dass die drei Länder statt völkerrechtlichen Grundsatzfragen ihren jeweiligen nationalen Interessen im Verhältnis zu Russland Vorrang einräumen. (SWP-Aktuell)
