Linksregierung in Bratislava: Der Wahlsieg der Sozialdemokraten macht die Slowakei europapolitisch berechenbarer

Abstract

Bei den vorgezogenen slowakischen Parlamentswahlen am 10. März 2012 erzielte die sozialdemokratische Partei Smer-SD einen klaren Wahlsieg. Robert Fico, Smer-Chef und neuer Ministerpräsident, wird mit solider Mehrheit und ohne Koalitionspartner regieren. Fico hat sich und seine Partei als stabile, soziale und proeuropäische Alternative zum bisherigen Regierungsbündnis der rechten Mitte präsentiert, das im Herbst 2011 über die Ratifizierung des Eurorettungsschirms EFSF gestürzt war. Bei den Anstrengungen zur Festigung der Eurozone dürfte die Slowakei künftig flexibel und konstruktiv mitwirken, das Risiko diesbezüglicher Komplikationen ist deutlich gesunken. Der Regierungswechsel eröffnet Deutschland neue Kooperationschancen. Allerdings ist darauf zu achten, wie Fico und Smer sich angesichts ihrer komfortablen Mehrheit verhalten, insbesondere ob sie den Dialog mit der ungarischen Minderheit und der parlamentarischen Opposition suchen
