Die Privatwirtschaft in den Post-2015-Verhandlungen: Plädoyer für eine stärkere Betonung der menschenrechtlichen Verantwortung

Abstract

Bis zum Jahr 2015 sollen die acht Millenniums-Entwicklungsziele (Millennium Development Goals, MDGs) der Vereinten Nationen (VN) erreicht werden. Es ist jedoch seit langem klar, dass ihre Verwirklichung - trotz wichtiger Fortschritte - nicht in allen Bereichen und allen Regionen innerhalb der gesetzten Frist möglich sein wird. Daher laufen die Verhandlungen zu einer Post-2015-Agenda auf Hochtouren. Bereits der Millenniumsgipfel von 2010 drängte auf eine Fortführung des MDG-Prozesses. Die VN-Konferenz über nachhaltige Entwicklung (Rio+20), die im Jahr 2012 stattfand, sprach sich in Ergänzung zu den MDGs außerdem für neue Ziele zur nachhaltigen Entwicklung (Sustainable Development Goals, SDGs) aus. Neben den VN, Regierungen und zivilgesellschaftlichen Organisationen ist auch die Privatwirtschaft ein wichtiger Akteur, der über unterschiedliche Foren Einfluss auf die Debatte nimmt.
