Prekarisierung der Mitte? Armut und Prekarität im Konzept multidimensionaler Lebenslagen im Sechsten Armuts- und Reichtumsbericht

Abstract

Dieser Beitrag setzt sich kritisch mit den Indikatoren der Typologie sozialer Lagen auseinander, die erstmals im Sechsten Armuts- und Reichtumsbericht der Bundesregierung (2021) verwandt wird. Er thematisiert zugleich Fallstricke der Armutsdebatte in Deutschland, die sich daraus ergeben, dass Armut in einer Weise konzeptionalisiert wird, bei der es auch ausgebauten, leistungsfähigen Sozialstaaten nicht gelingt, die so gemessene Armut zu überwinden. Was immer der Sozialstaat leistet, er scheint zu scheitern. Die Typologie sozialer Lagen wird diese Problematik verstärken, da auch Phasen bürgerlicher Normalbiographien prekarisiert werden. Die folgenden Ausführungen verstehen sich als Diskussionsbeitrag im Vorfeld der Erstellung des nächsten Armuts- und Reichtumsberichts.
