Titanschäume als Knochenimplantat

Abstract

Der Inhalt dieser Arbeit befasst sich mit einer allgemein gehaltenen Realisierbarkeitsstudie für die Verwendung von Titanschäumen als Implantate im Bereich des Knochens. Dabei werden zu Beginn die rechtlich vorgeschriebenen medizintechnischen Anforderungen für Medizinprodukte in diesem Anwendungsfall umrissen, um eine geeignete Vorgehensweise bei dieser Studie zu ermitteln. Desweiteren wird auf das spezielle Herstellungsverfahren und dessen Problemstellungen eingegangen, im Hinblick auf die Realisierbarkeit der Produktherstellung an sich. In einer Materialcharakterisierung wird die chemische Zusammensetzung der Prototypen ermittelt und anschließend in in vitro Zellkulturversuchen auf deren Biokompatibilität und Eignung für die erdachte Anwendung untersucht. Im Fokus der Analyse stehen dabei die Zytotoxizität, Proliferationstendenz und das Zellwachstum auf den signifikanten, beim Herstellungsprozess entstehenden Titanschaumoberflächen. Abschließend werden die Schäume, unter Verwendung eines Tetrakaidekaeder-Einheitszellenmodelles, in simulierter Knochengewebeinhärenz auf deren mechanische Eignung als Stützmatrix untersucht.
