Qualifikationsspezifische Einkommensunterschiede in Deutschland unter besonderer Berücksichtigung von Universitäts- und Fachhochschulabsolventen

Abstract

Mit Hilfe der 1%-Mikrozensus-Stichprobe des Statistischen Bundesamtes für das Jahr 2001 werden qualifikationsspezifische Einkommensunterschiede in Deutschland untersucht. Die Nettoeinkommen sind klar gestaffelt: Promovierte verdienen rund 50 % mehr als nicht promovierte Akademiker, nicht promovierte Akademiker haben einen durchschnittlichen Gehaltsvorsprung von reichlich 50 % auf Facharbeiter und diese wiederum von reichlich 50 % auf Ungelernte. Längere Ausbildungswege zahlen sich also stark aus. Der Vergleich der Einkommensunterschiede von Vollerwerbstätigen mit Universitäts- bzw. Fachhochschuldiplom ergibt für die wichtigsten Akademikergruppen geringe Unterschiede; Universitätsabsolventen liegen mit 3 bis 7 % mehr Gehalt nur knapp vorn.
