Umsetzung der EU-Konfliktmineraleverordnung in Österreich: Standortbestimmung nach dem ersten Jahr in voller Geltung

Abstract

Seit dem 1. Januar 2021 müssen Unternehmen, die bestimmte mineralische Rohstoffe in die Europäische Union (EU) importieren, dafür sorgen, durch ihre Beschaffungspraktiken nicht zu Konflikten und Menschenrechtsverletzungen beizutragen. In Österreich fielen im Jahr 2021 15 Unternehmen unter die Verordnung. Der vorliegende Research Report führt in die EU-Verordnung und die daraus folgenden Verpflichtungen für Unternehmen ein. Er gibt einen Überblick über die bisherige Berichtslegung sowie die Umsetzung der Verordnung in Österreich und zieht Schlussfolgerungen für die Überarbeitung der Verordnung.
