mobile learning: Ein Überblick

Abstract

Mobiles Lernen entwickelt sich zur tragenden Säule des E-Learning', so ist es im MMB-Trendmonitor II/2011 zu lesen. Nach dieser Studie gelten mobile Lernapplikationen bei 76% der befragten Experten 'als Erfolg versprechende Lerntechnologie'. Dies ist nicht zuletzt auch ein Grund, sich mit dem Thema 'mobile learning' zu beschäftigen. Die Frage, ob 'mobile learning' für den Einsatz in einer konkreten Bildungseinrichtung (bspw. Schule oder Hochschule) oder in einem konkretem Unternehmen geeignet ist, kann und möchte dieses Arbeitspapier jedoch nicht beantworten. Es möchte aufzeigen, was 'mobile learning' ist und welche Einsatzmöglichkeiten denkbar sind. Dazu werden bestehende Klassifikationsmodelle und Definitionen vorgestellt und versucht, diese zu optimieren und an die neu entstandenen Bedürfnisse anzupassen. Das Klassifikationsmodell des 'm-Learning-Quadrats' wurde als Erweiterung des Modells von Frohberg neu entwickelt und wird in Kapitel 4.3 dargestellt. Um den Begriff 'mobile learning' klären zu können und ein einheitliches Verständnis hiervon zu geben, gibt Kapitel 2 jedoch zunächst einen Überblick und eine Definition zu 'mobile learning' und liefert einen Überblick über die geschichtliche Entwicklung. Kapitel 5.3 zeigt schließlich einige Praxisbeispiele auf.
