Die Einführung und Nutzung des Telefons in der Industrie des Deutschen Reiches, 1880-1939: Eine Untersuchung westdeutscher Großunternehmen

Abstract

Die Geschichte des öffentlichen Telefons in den letzten Jahrzehnten des 19. Jahrhunderts und zu Beginn des 20. Jahrhunderts ist weitgehend bekannt. Nur in geringem Maße jedoch ist bisher die Implementierung und Nutzung des Telefons als Kommunikationsmittel in Großunternehmen untersucht worden. Das vorliegende Papier befaßt sich mit der Einführung und Nutzung des Telefons in Großunternehmen des Deutschen Reiches und versucht, diese Vorgänge in zeitgenössische unternehmerische Veränderungsprozesse (Unternehmenskonzentrationen, Standortdiffusionen, unternehmensinterne Bürokratisierung) einzuordnen.
