Indexfonds sind nützlich: Ein Zwischenbericht zur Versachlichung der Debatte

Abstract

Die Agrarspekulation von „Long-only“-Indexfonds steht seit geraumer Zeit im Zentrum öffentlicher Aufmerksamkeit und Kritik. Die Debatte hierzu wird zuweilen hoch emotional geführt. Dieser Kurzbeitrag schildert, wie Wissenschaftler öffentlich interveniert haben, um zur Versachlichung der Auseinandersetzung beizutragen. Anhand konkreter Beispiele wird belegt, dass die zivilgesellschaftliche Kampagne gegen die Agrarspekulation von Indexfonds (immer noch) mit Informationen operiert, die nachweislich falsch sind.
