Abstract

Das vorliegende Diskussionspapier enthält eine Dankesrede und eine Presseerklärung anlässlich der Verleihung des Wissenschaftspreises der Plansecur-Stiftung. Neben einigen persönlichen Bemerkungen fokussiert die Dankesrede im Kern auf die Bedeutung des Wissenschaftspreises der Plansecur-Stiftung für die Wirtschaftsethik als wissenschaftliche Disziplin. Die Presseerklärung hingegen erläutert auf allgemeinverständliche Weise die Kernbotschaft der Dissertationsschrift “Kooperation statt Hilfe: Ein ordonomischer Beitrag zur Theorie der Entwicklungspolitik”, erschienen 2012 im Wissenschaftlichen Verlag Berlin (wvb). Aus diesem Grund werden drei Thesen formuliert, die mit Hilfe eines historischen und eines aktuellen Beispiels erläutert werden: die Nachkriegsentwicklungshilfe der USA an Taiwan in den 1950er Jahren und die SAFO-Initiative der BASF und anderer heute.
