Tertiärisierung regionaler Wirtschaftsstrukturen: Eine empirische Analyse kreisfreier Städte und Landkreise in Hessen, Rheinland-Pfalz und dem Saarland

Abstract

Es wird der Ablauf der Tertiärisierung in kreisfreien Städten und Landkreisen der drei Bundesländer Hessen, Rheinland-Pfalz und Saarland im Zeitraum 1970 bis 1987 untersucht. Erweiterungen der Spezifikationen durch Dummyvariablen zeigen, daß die Bedeutung des Dienstleistungsgewerbes in den Kreisen mit hoher Bevölkerungsdichte gegenüber Kreisen mit geringer Bevölkerungsdichte signifikant stärker zunahm.
