Ein VAR-Modell für den Zusammenhang zwischen Öffentlichen Ausgaben und Wirtschaftswachstum in Deutschland

Abstract

Die Studie untersucht den Einfluss der öffentlichen Ausgaben auf das Wirtschaftswachstum in Deutschland. Nach der Wachstumstheorie ist die Wirkung der öffentlichen Ausgaben auf das Wachstum nicht eindeutig, jedoch zeigt das Ergebnis der linearen Regression für den Zeitraum 1961 bis 2002 einen negativen Zusammenhang. Anschließend wird in einem VAR-Modell mittels Granger-Kausalitätstest und Zerlegung der Prognosefehlervarianz eine eindeutige Ursache-Wirkungsbeziehung zwischen den öffentlichen Ausgaben und dem Wachstum nachgewiesen und durch eine Impuls-Antwort-Analyse die Wirkung eines Schocks in den öffentlichen Ausgaben auf das Wirtschaftswachstum untersucht.
