Multinationalisierung und Demultinationalisierung der Produktion: Ansätze einer außenhandelstheoretischen Analyse

Abstract

Die vorliegende Arbeit behandelt moderne Erklärungsansätze zur Entstehung oder Auflösung einer speziellen internationalen Institution: der Multinationalen Unternehmung. Eine Multinationale Unternehmung wird im wesentlichen als ein Mittel zur internationalen Bewegung von Produktionsfaktoren innerhalb einer hierarchischen Organisation gesehen. Diese Unternehmung ist ökonomisch raional, wenn Anreize (i) für internationale Faktorbewegungen und (ii) für die Internalisierung dieser Bewegungen bestehen. Anreize für internationale Faktorbewegungen werden im Rahmen des außenhandelstheoretischen Gleichgewichtsmodells erklärt; Anreize zur Internalisierung sind Gegenstand der Transaktionskostenanalyse. Die Arbeit diskutiert die Verschmelzung dieser Ansätze in der modernen Außenwirtschaftstheorie.
