Steuer- und Abgabenbelastung im internationalen Vergleich: Entlastungsbedarf für deutsche Haushalte

Abstract

Üblicherweise veröffentlicht die OECD zweimal jährlich aktualisierte Zahlen zur Entwicklung der Steuer- und Abgabenbelastung in den 30 OECD-Ländern. Den beiden Veröffentlichungsreihen liegen unterschiedliche methodische Ansätze zugrunde. Dies führt regelmäßig zu Irritationen, weil Deutschland nach der einen OECD-Abgrenzung im Mittelfeld, nach der anderen in der Spitze der internationalen Belastungsskala rangiert. Bei näherem Hinsehen wird deutlich, wie es zu den unterschiedlichen Ergebnissen kommt.
