Fachkräfteengpässe: Digitalisierung als Mittel gegen Fachkräfteengpässe

Abstract

Der deutsche Arbeitsmarkt zeigt sich seit mehreren Jahren in sehr guter Verfassung: Im März 2016 waren mit 43,2 Millionen so viele Personen erwerbstätig wie noch nie. Die Arbeitslosenquote sank in den letzten Jahren deutlich. Diese aus Sicht der Erwerbstätigen positive Entwicklung stellt Arbeitgeber vor Herausforderungen: Im März 2016 konnten in 95 Berufen, die dauerhaft Fachkräfteengpässe aufweisen, 378.000 offene Stellen wegen fehlender Arbeitskräfte nicht besetzt werden. Die Digitalisierung bietet Chancen, diese Engpässe zu verringern. Gelänge es, alle Potenziale der Digitalisierung zu nutzen, könnten die offenen Stellen auf 187.000 reduziert werden.
