Abstract

Die chinesische Bevölkerung schrumpfte in den Jahren 2022 und 2023 - nach Jahrzehnten des Bevölkerungswachstums. Trotz des Endes der Ein-Kind-Politik und der Einführung einer Drei-Kind-Politik schafft China es nicht, seine Geburtenrate anzukurbeln und steuert auf große demografische Herausforderungen zu - mit Folgen für Chinas Wirtschafts- und Sozialmodell.
