Flüchtlinge: Bildungsstand syrischer Flüchtlinge - 5 Gerüchte auf dem Prüfstand

Abstract

Über syrische Flüchtlinge kursieren in den Medien und Sozialen Netzwerken viele Gerüchte: Die meisten seien Analphabeten und kaum ausgebildet. Diese Behauptungen sollen hier überprüft werden. Da noch keine repräsentativen Daten über die Qualifikationen der Flüchtlinge in Deutschland existieren, gibt ein Blick auf die Bildungsstruktur in Syrien vor dem Krieg gute Anhaltspunkte. Bereits seit 2011 befasst sich das IW Köln im Rahmen des vom BMWi finanzierten Projektes BQ-Portal mit dem syrischen Bildungssystem.
